Shown above with the optional CU-1 "half moon" Leslie switch but without the optional stand, pedals, or bench, the XK-5 Heritage Pro is the marriage of the Hammond XK-5 single manual organ and the Hammond XLK-5 Lower Manual.
XLK-5 Lower Manual
The
XLK-5 Lower Manual can be added to the Hammond XK-5 at any time and
is available separately, as are the other XK-5 Heritage Pro System
components. With the XLK-5 comes two larger "end caps" which,
when installed, make the XK-5 and the XLK-5 one two-manual portable
Hammond Organ.
Stand and Bench
The
Hammond XK-5 Pro Style Stand and Pro Style Bench can be added at any
time as well. The stand is very sturdy and provides the player
the same robust "firmness" one would expect from a 450 pound vintage
B-3. The same can be said for the bench. Like the stand,
it is rock solid yet both the stand and the bench can be folded flat
for easy transport.
The XPK 250BK XK-5 Bass Pedals (black)
To
finish out the system, the ideal B-3-like pedalboard is the XPK 250
pedals available in either black or red-walnut finish. The XPK
250 pedalboard comes with its own expression pedal an one "H Buss"
connector that plugs into the bottom of the XLK-5.
Recommended Accessories
Depending on your intended use, certain accessories are necessary. For example, if you will be using your XK-5 Heritage Pro System without bass pedals the you will need the Hammond EXP-100F expression pedal with its integral Leslie "toe switch." Some players like to have the "half moon" CU-1 Leslie switch in addition to the toe switch on the expression pedal. Smaller bass pedalboards are available in either a 1 octave or 1 1/2 octave configuration. Call us. We use these instruments.
