instrument faithfully recreates the sound of its famous predecessor,
and adds new capabilities never before dreamed of!

Ever
since ins introduction in 1935, the Hammond Organ has been an integral
part of church and worship services of all kinds and all denominations.
Mr.
Laurens Hammond originally conceived the Hammond Organ as an instrument
capable of reproducing high-quality organ music a a fraction of the cost
of a pipe organ. Many Hammonds
originally built in the 40's and 50's are still in use in churches,
chapels, and Sunday schools all over the world.
Today,
the sound of the Hammond Organ, in combination with a Leslie Speaker, is
an integral and indispensable part of Gospel church music. Hammond's XB-3M and
XC-3M models are specially designed and crafted with the needs of the
Gospel church musician in mind. These model, together with the Leslie
model 814 Speaker Cabinet, faithfully recreate the unique tonal character
and playing features so important to the Gospel organist. The New
capabilities such as the Extra voice, the ability to control the Leslie
Speaker rotors from the manuals, and instantly re-programmable presets
make the new XB-3M and XC-3M a truly memorable musical experience.

Hammond Institutional
Organ - XB-3M New Sampling Technology : Now, the new DRH™ sampling technology captures the sound and feel of the
incomparable B-3.
The
XB-3M flawlessly generates the pure harmonic sound of the B-3. And then goes
on to add such things as the Drawbar foldbacks at the top and bottom
octaves, the variances in key click, and the effect of overdriving a tube
amplifier. Even the look and feel of the keyboards is faithfully
reproduced. The total effect is the look, sound, and feel of the B-3. And
it weighs less than 200 pounds (72 Kg) instead of over 400.

There's more. Hammond
has incorporated features that were never dreamed of in the original B-3.

Extra Voice:
The XB-3M contains an complete General MIDI-compatible voice library
consisting of over 270 high-quality digitally sampled sounds such as
Stereo Grand Piano, Stereo Strings and even a new breathy Stereo
Saxophone. Ten drum kits are also provided to further enhance your
playing. And, you can use the Drawbars to adjust the volume of the Extra
Voices during performance.

Presets:
An octave of reverse-color Preset Keys is available for each manual, as
well as two Pedal presets. These can be easily programmed with your own
settings.

Transposer:
Whether you play in one key or all of them, you'll find it easy to change
from one key to another with just a touch of a button.

Disk Drive:
Using this feature, you can record and store your own Preset Banks or
complete performances as well as play back Standard MIDI File data.

MIDI:
The XB-3M can perform in virtually any MIDI
environment. SEND and RECEIVE channels are programmable. LOCAL keyboard
control can be turned ON or OFF. And the manuals can be
"mapped" to selectively play the internal voices or voices from
a connected MIDI device. MIDI velocity information and after-touch can be
transmitted, along with Pitch and Modulation controls. The MEMORY DUMP
allows Preset data to be stored to a MIDI Data recorder.

LeslieŽ Ready:
Any 11-pin Leslie Speaker cabinet can be plugged directly into the XB-3M,
including multi-channel Leslies. The rotors can be operated in three
modes - Off, Slow or Fast.
