Somewhere along the way the people in the Leslie Division at Hammond really got something right when they designed the small, but powerful Leslie 3300.  Affectionately called, "THE TANK" at Hammond USA, the 3300 Leslie has a reputation of being the most dependable Leslie speaker ever.  Legendary "Tower of Power," the Bonneville Salt Flats proving ground for Leslie Speakers has given the 3300 their seal of approval.

So, what does the 3300 have to do with the Leslie 981?  Plenty.  We've taken all of the internal parts from the Leslie 3300 and put them in a furniture grade, full sized Leslie Tone Cabinet.  What did that accomplish?  Plenty.  The Leslie 981 has the same bi-amplification system as the 3300:  a 220 watt RMS amplifier just for the really heavy duty 15" bass woofer, and an 80 watt RMS amplifier exclusively for the high frequency driver.  The result?  An even bigger sound than the 3300!  How is that possible?  The larger cabinet gives the speaker a lower (significantly lower) resonance frequency so the low C on the bass pedals really thunders.  The comment we hear all the time is, "man, this thing has a lot of punch."  It does and it belongs in your church or studio.  Call us.  We have great pricing on the 981 and special curb side deliver LTL freight rates.
